Fees & Policies

 Fee payments:

ESGC accepts eftpos, cheques, internet banking transfer or cash. Payment can be made by Cheque sent to 89 Apirana ave, Glen Innes, Auckland, eftpos at the club or Direct Credit 12-3030-0503382-00. Please make sure you put your childs full name and day and time of the class as the reference when making a direct credit or on the back of a cheque.

 Enrolments:
Due to many children turning up to classes without re-enrollment or payment of fees, it has been necessary for ESGC to introduce a late re-enrolment surcharge of $15. This is for ALL classes including holiday program. To avoid this surcharge please make sure we have re-enrollment forms and payment to secure a place for the following term by the last day of the holidays at the very latest. This is essential so we can plan for coaches and classes. We appreciate your consideration in this matter.
Fees are due when a child is enrolled or booked into a class. If a child turns up to his or her first class before fees have been received by ESGC, at the conclusion of the class the child will be sent home with a reminder notice. The child will not be able to participate in any further classes unless the term fees are paid in full.
Re-enrolments will be taken on a first in first served basis. After this date all classes will be opened up to new and returning members. To ensure a place for the following term make sure you re-enroll and make payment. Your space in a class will not be automatically transferred to next term. If the child is booked into a class and a written cancellation has been received more than 7 days prior to the first class then a cancellation fee of $30.00 will be charged.
If a child is booked into a class (re-enrolment form filled in and returned to the office) but does not attend classes, the terms fees are still due in full. Less than 7 days notice of a cancellation will still incur full terms fees.

 Competitive classes:
All invoices are sent out in the first week of term. A reminder notice is sent out 2 weeks later if payment is not received. Monthly statements are emailed to parents with outstanding fees.
If any fees outstanding, then the club reserves the right to not re-enroll that gymnast.
Term fees can & will be corrected in good faith should an error occur in billing, as soon as practical after the error is detected. Gymnasts may not start training if there are any arrears from the previous term unless an application has been submitted and approved by the ESGC Treasurer.

 Hours of training:
Gymnasts are invited to join a particular squad or class and must attend and pay for all the hours set for that group. If gymnasts need to finish early or arrive late this does not entitle a discount on fees as all the club’s costs are the same regardless of gymnast leaving early/starting late or missing a session.
 Term length:
Fees are calculated on a term basis, with typically 9-10 weeks in each term (38 weeks per year), generally aligned with the public school terms. New gymnasts starting part way through the term are charged on a pro rata basis. All squads level 2 and higher have 48 weeks per year. All other General Gymnastics classes may have holiday training offered to them at the discretion of their coach.
There are no refunds for withdrawal part way through a term.

 Installments:
All applications to pay in installments must be agreed by the Treasurer before the date fees are due and installments are due by the 1st of each month. To be eligible to pay installments, gymnasts must be training a minimum of two sessions per week.

 Sickness:
There are no make-up sessions. Gymnasts that miss training sessions due to sickness are not entitled to a fee reduction. However, upon application to the committee, if a gymnast is sick or injured for longer than 4 weeks (with a medical certificate) and the Treasurer is notified before the 4 weeks missed, then parents may be offered, at the discretion of the committee, the option of a 50% credit for that time missed (as long as they are not training at all during this time i.e. if gymnasts are training during this time they are not eligible for this discount) towards next terms fees.
The reason we can not offer make-up lessons is that quality and safety will be compromised if our 500 members were all free to join other classes as and when they wished.
Please note that any special circumstances will be considered if put in writing to the Committee.

 Holiday Program:
No refunds unless medical certificate is supplied. $20 administration fee applies.
Enrollments on the day (no booking) will incure $15 late enrolment fee.

 Competitions:
Please note that competition entry fee paid to the host club and to judging costs. Unless we are notified 4 weeks prior to the competition that a gymnast is no longer able to attend there are no refunds unless we are able to replace the gymnast (as host clubs do not issue refunds). To represent the club at any competition, club fees must be completely up to date.

 Change of Class:
Any voluntary change of class during the term will incur a $20 administrative fee. The only exemption will be for a gymnast moving into a competitive squad by invitation.

 Trial classes:
Trial classes are to be arranged through the office only. We can only offer a trial class if we have space, please understand most of our classes run at capacity during the term. There is a fee for trial classes to be paid prior to the class. Any amount paid by way of trial fee will be credited against the term fee if the gymnast continues. Trial fees are as follows:
45 min - $15, 1 hr - $20, 1.5 hr - $25, 2 hr - $30. (The club regrets this charge, but to avoid constant class disruption to our paying members, the club has been forced to introduce this fee to deter the frequent casual freebie)
